Partnership Mediation

In a partnership, situations arise again and again that pose a great challenge: a new job, moving into a new apartment, among other things, represent changes that those involved deal with differently.

Unlike in the work environment, where a change management process is then usually initiated, many couples tend to avoid a clarifying discussion – i.e. not to make any attempt at adjustment. In such cases, mediation supports the parties involved in formulating the unresolved issues and finding answers that represent a future-oriented solution for both sides.

Other examples of partnership mediation:

  • new position in a job or retirement or unemployment
  • care for parents or grandparents (Elder Mediation)
  • Inheritance issues (see also Mediation in the world of work)
  • return to work after the birth of a child
  • new direction of the common future
